CNC Offline Programmer

A leading precision engineering company is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join its machine shop team. This is a key technical position responsible for developing CNC programs for both new and existing components, working closely with internal engineers and external customers to ensure efficient and accurate manufacturing processes.Key Responsibilities as a CNC Offline Programmer:Create and modify CNC programs offline using CAD/CAM software (Edgecam preferred)Collaborate with design and production engineers to identify the best machining methodsEstimate cycle times and tooling costs for quoting and planningLiaise with customers'' engineering teams on design for manufactureDesign fixtures and workholding solutions to streamline operationsProduce technical drawings to support fixture fabrication and assemblyWork with inspection and quality teams to resolve issues and update processesImplement improvements to boost quality, efficiency, and productivityEngage with tooling suppliers and support purchasing when neededSupport the machine shop team with technical problem-solving and guidanceRequirements for the role of CNC Offline Programmer:Minimum 5 years'' experience in a CNC machining environment post-apprenticeship or trainingExperience Offline ProgrammingProficient in CAD/CAM programming, with experience designing fixtures and producing drawingsHND (or equivalent) in Engineering - apprenticeship-trained preferredExperience with Edgecam software is an ..... full job details .....
