CNC Mill/Turn

CNC MILLER / TURNER JOB PURPOSE: To set, program and operate machining centres on small to medium batch precision components, machining precision parts to customer specifications and within ISO9001:2015 quality standards. CNC MILLER / TURNER ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Machining low quantities of precision components - various materials. Producing components from present order book using existing programs, tooling and fixtures. Program and engineer from scratch, new components using primarily online programming processes. Ensure all first off components are to an acceptable standard. Ensure all production components are to an acceptable standard adjusting the machine and using in process inspection where required. Full knowledge of CNC workshop equipment, set, operate and programme. Liaising with Inspection Department to ensure that products produced are to the specifications required. Ability to resolve queries and problems to best of knowledge before escalating up to next level. Ensure minimum occurrence of errors and provide workable solutions. Responsible for adhering to health and safety rules and procedures. Conducting assigned tasks in a controlled and safe manner, paying particular respect to colleagues and Equipment. Present a positive attitude at all times and an adaptable approach to problems. Selecting the appropriate tooling for the job.
