CNC Milling Setter / Operator Location: East SussexJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced CNC Milling Setter / Operator to join a busy manufacturing team in East Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality precision components and enjoys working in a hands-on production environment. You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines, ensuring components are manufactured accurately, safely and efficiently in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities Set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture components to the required specifications. Prepare and secure workpieces, fixtures and tooling ready for machining. Adjust tool offsets and machine settings to maintain component accuracy. Carry out first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks throughout production. Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Monitor machine performance and respond to tool wear, alarms and machining issues. Replace worn or damaged cutting tools when necessary. Use appropriate measuring equipment to check component dimensions and quality. Complete production documentation and inspection records accurately. Identify and report quality issues, ensuring non-conforming components are dealt with appropriately.
