This role will be based at the company''s Birmingham site.The business specialises in low-volume and prototype machining, fixtures, specialist components and precision engineering for sectors including aerospace, automotive, medical and nuclear.Salary£18.00-£22.00 per hour, depending on experienceregular overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rateWorking HoursMonday to Thursday: 8:00am-4:30pmFriday: 8:00am-2:00pmKey ResponsibilitiesProgramme, set and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres.Produce one-off, prototype and low-volume precision components from engineering drawings.Work confidently with Mazatrol and/or Heidenhain controls.Manufacture components to tight tolerances and required quality standards.Select appropriate tooling, feeds and speeds for each job.Design or manufacture fixtures and jigs where required.Inspect finished components using appropriate measuring equipment.Ensure production lead times and delivery deadlines are achieved.Complete relevant production paperwork and shop-floor da...
