Winsearch are currently working with a well-established precision engineering business in the Oldham area who are looking to strengthen their machining team with the addition of an experienced CNC Miller. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable business with a strong order book, modern machinery and plenty of overtime available for those looking to maximise their earnings.The RoleYou will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines using Siemens controls. The role will involve working from engineering drawings to produce high precision components, ensuring all work meets quality and delivery requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesProgramming, setting and operating CNC milling machines using Siemens controlsProducing components to tight tolerances from engineering drawingsSelecting appropriate tooling, speeds and feedsCarrying out in-process inspection using manual measuring equipmentEditing and proving out programmes at the machineEnsuring machines are running efficiently and safelyMaintaining a clean and organised working environment in line with 5S standardsRequirementsProven experience as a CNC Miller (programmer / setter / operator)Strong experience using Siemens controlsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience working to tight tolerances within a precision engineering environmentCompetent using manual inspection equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)Self-motivated with a strong attention to ..... full job details .....
