CNC Miller High-Precision Engineering RandD and Prototype Manufacturing TXM Recruit is supporting a leading engineering organisation in the recruitment of an experienced CNCMiller to join its growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist to work within a fast-paced, RandD-focused environment, producing complex, high-value components for prototype and low-volume production programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating high-precision CNC milling machines, including 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining centres. You will also help develop machining strategies, optimise tooling and processes, and work closely with engineering teams and tooling suppliers to improve manufacturing performance. Key Responsibilities As a CNC Miller, your responsibilities will include: Programming, setting, and operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines. Editing and proving out CNC programs using Heidenhain, Fanuc, and Siemens controls. Setting fixtures, tooling, work offsets, and machine parameters. Producing complex, high-value components for RandD, prototype, and low-volume production requirements. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing procedures. Selecting and optimising tooling, cutting strategies, and machining processes. Making tooling, program and work-offset adjustments as required.
