Our client is currently recruiting for a CNC Miller Setter Operator to join their established and growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC professional to work within a well-equipped, fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting the production of high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Miller Setter Operator

• Set up and operate milling machines and associated equipment safely and efficiently.

• Produce components in accordance with technical drawings, route cards, and work instructions.

• Carry out tool changes, offset adjustments, and machine parameter settings as required.

• Conduct quality checks using appropriate measuring and gauging equipment and ensure all documentation is accurately completed.

• Maintain and improve 5S standards on the shop floor.

• Participate in routine maintenance and Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) activities.

• Identify and highlight opportunities for process and efficiency improvements.

• Ensure compliance with all departmental and company quality standards.

• Work safely and report any health and safety risks.

• Train and support other operators as required.

• Liaise with other departments to support production schedules.

• Perform any additional ad-hoc duties as necessary.

Key Skills of a CNC Miller Setter Operator

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.

• CNC or manual milling machine experience.

• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

• Teamworking and mentoring capability.

• Knowledge of TPM and 5S principles.

• Good organisational and time management skills.
