Job Title: CNC Miller Programmer

Job Type: Days based, Perm

Location: Corsham

Hours: 39 hours Mon-Thurs 8am to 5pm / Fri 8am-1pm

Pay: Circa £40,000-£45,000 DOE

Our client has been manufacturing for over 60 years. This position would suit the hard-working individual who has a passion for engineering.

The company has over 10 CNC mills ranging in sizes from small to large with 3 to 5 axis capabilities (Doosan DNM 650 to Hedelius T3200). We also have one XYZ mill. Heidenhain operating system is present on all CNC milling machines.

Job Overview
• Manufacture of precision components to supplied CAD and drawings
• Operating CNC milling machines of various sizes
• Confidently program parts, fully or partially responsible for setting and operating more than one machine during our peak build season
• Maintain program and tooling records for all components produced
• Feedback to Production Engineering to improve programs and machining methods
• Responsible for basic inspection of parts to ensure ongoing quality
• To be aware of health and safety legislation and contribute positively to safety standards on the shop floor

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience working on CNC milling machines
• Apprentice trained would be beneficial
• Previous CAD/ CAM experience would be beneficial (Powermill or Fusion360)
