Cnc Miller Programmer Setter Operator (5-Axis Matsuura) Overview An advanced precision engineering business is seeking a highly skilled Cnc Miller Programmer Setter Operator with strong programming, setting, and operating capability on 5-axis Matsuura machining centres (MAM72-35V / MAM72-52V). This position is ideal for an experienced machinist confident working to complex aerospace-level tolerances and comfortable taking full ownership of machining processes from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Program, set, and operate 5-axis Matsuura MAM72 machining centres to produce high-precision components. Create and optimise CNC programmes using CAD/CAM software (e.g., CAMplete / Fusion / HyperMill or similar). Interpret complex engineering drawings, models, and specifications with strong understanding of GDandT. Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy. Select tooling, workholding, and machining strategies to achieve optimal efficiency and surface finish. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, making adjustments to programmes and setups when required. Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to support continuous improvement. Maintain machine cleanliness, perform basic maintenance, and follow all company safety standards.
