The Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join an engineering team. The role involves developing, programming, and optimising CNC machines to produce high-quality components.

• Set up CNC machines, including milling, turning and other machining equipment, ensuring accurate calibration and alignment
• Operate CNC machinery to produce high quality components according to technical drawings and specifications
• Adjust programmes as necessary to optimise machining processes and improve efficiency
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
• Handle materials safely, including loading raw materials and managing tooling requirements
• Use hand tools and basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks

About You

• Proven experience in CNC machining within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Experience using Prototrak, Siemens, Fanuc and Winmax
• Strong mechanical knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and programming
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
• Competent using hand tools and carrying out precise measurements
• Knowledge of materials and appropriate tooling selection
