CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator

Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Salary: £17–£20 per hour (DOE) + shift allowance

About the Role:

TK Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established precision and heavy engineering company based in Oldham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines, producing high-quality components for a variety of engineering applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist with experience working on medium-to-large engineering components, bespoke parts and complex machining projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines.

• Work with vertical and horizontal machining centres.

• Produce precision components from detailed engineering drawings.

• Manufacture medium-to-large components to tight tolerances.

• Carry out machine setups, tooling changes and programme adjustments.

• Perform quality checks using precision measuring equipment.

• Work independently on bespoke and low-volume production jobs.

• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and workplace safety.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller, Programmer, Setter or Operator.

• Strong CNC milling programming and setting experience.

• Fanuc control experience preferred but other controls considered.

• Experience machining steel and other engineering materials.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances.

• Experience with large components or heavy engineering advantageous.

• Confident working independently with minimal supervision.
