GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with a well-established precision engineering company based in Birmingham. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for an experienced CNC Toolmaker / CNC Miller to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. Applications will also be considered from apprentice trained Toolroom Improvers looking to further develop their career within a skilled engineering environment. This position is working Monday to Friday, offering a competitive salary dependent on experience, with an early finish on Fridays. As a CNC Toolmaker / CNC Miller, you will play a key role within the toolroom team, supporting the manufacture, modification, and repair of a wide variety of tooling, jigs, fixtures, and precision engineered components. This is a hands-on position requiring a high level of skill, accuracy, and the ability to work from engineering drawings with minimal supervision. CNC Toolmaker / CNC Miller main duties: Carry out CNC milling operations using XYZ machines. Manufacture tooling including jigs, fixtures, and production tooling. Produce one-off and small batch precision components to customer specifications. Undertake tool repair, maintenance, and modification work. Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate manufacture. Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
