CNC Milling Setter / Operator Location: Derby (DE21) Hours: Permanent, 36.5 hours per week Early Shift: Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm Friday: 6:00am - 10:30am (Monday to Thursday includes one 10-minute unpaid break and one 20-minute unpaid break.) Salary: Competitive We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Milling Setter / Operator to join a growing aerospace manufacturing business in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist to work within a precision engineering environment, producing high-quality components while developing their skills within a well-established organisation. Key Responsibilities of a CNC Milling Setter / Operator: Set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components. Read, interpret and edit CNC programmes where required. Understand CNC code to the level required for machine set-up and operation. Set machine datums, tool lengths and wear offsets to ensure accurate machining. Prepare machines with the correct workholding, tooling and fixtures. Manufacture components in accordance with engineering drawings, job cards and company procedures. Monitor machining operations to ensure quality, efficiency and productivity targets are achieved. Carry out in-process inspections to maintain product quality. Work safely and maintain high housekeeping standards within the manufacturing environment. Support continuous improvement activities where appropriate.
