Overview
EMBS Recruitment Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in Maidenhead, Berkshire, that is currently in the market for a CNC Miller to join their company on a permanent basis.
This market leader is a well-established entity within the precision engineering and motorsport industries and boasts a rich history of supporting globally recognised customers with safety-critical, highly complex components.
Off the back of continued growth and a strong pipeline of new work, our client is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join their busy machine shop, running a five-axis Matsuura MX-330 with a 90 tool changer and 10 pallet loader.
Please note, due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents; we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Hours: days, typically 7.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday (core hours 8.00am to 4.30pm), with the option of an earlier 6.00am to 4.30pm start and overtime where available
Your responsibilities will include:
As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting, operating and editing programs on a five-axis machine, working proactively across single and multiple set-ups to keep pace with long cycle times.
You will:

Set, operate and edit programs on a five-axis Matsuura MX-330 with pallet loading

Manage one to two set-ups per day, working on aluminium and stainless steel components
-
Carry out in-process inspection using plug gauges, go/no-go gauges, verniers and micrometers

Work proactively between cycles, setting up future jobs or supporting colleagues on other machines

Support programme prove-out using Vericut, working alongside the CAD/CAM team who use Hypermill

Contribute ideas and challenge existing processes to help drive continuous improvement
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
-
A precision engineering or advanced manufacturing background
-
CNC milling experience at three, four or five axis
-
The ability to set, operate and edit programs
-
Strong working knowledge of Fanuc controls
-
A willingness to learn and progress within the business

The confidence to ask for help when needed, or to challenge and suggest improvements to existing processes

Desirable: experience with pallet loading machines and/or programming experience
