Job Title: CNC Miller
Location: Rugby
Salary: Up to £20ph DOE
Job Type: Permanent, full time
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Miller to join our clients precision engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the setting and operating of CNC milling machines using Heidenhain and Fanuc controls, producing high-quality components to tight tolerances. Experience online programming is essential, offline programming is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines using Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, ensuring components are produced to specification.
- Online programming experience is essential.
- Carry out first-off inspections and in-process checks to maintain quality standards.
- Adjust offsets and tooling as necessary to achieve desired tolerances.
- Work to tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with programmers and other team members to optimise machining processes.
- Offline programming using CAD software is desirable
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Competent in setting and operating CNC mills with Heidenhain and/or Fanuc controls.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, geometric tolerances, and machining principles.
- Familiarity with offline programming (CAM software) is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to machine operation and maintenance.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards is beneficial.
Pay/Hours/Benefits:
- Days -7.30 – 4.45 Mon to Thurs with 7.30 to 12.30 Fri
- Afters -1.45-12.00 Mon to Thurs
- 5% Pension
- Unlimited overtime
- Holidays - 25 plus Bank Holidays
