CNC Miller - 5 Axis Programmer

Trident Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Miller / Programmer to join a high-level precision engineering business in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong CNC engineer who wants more than just another machining role. The company is looking for someone who can bring genuine 5-axis programming expertise to the team, with the opportunity to develop into a Senior / Leadership position as the business continues to grow. The Role You will be responsible for programming, setting and supporting complex multi-axis machining work, taking components from drawing through to finished part. Key responsibilities will include: Programming complex 5-axis CNC milling machines Producing 5-axis simultaneous machining programs Offline programming using CAD/CAM software Programming, setting and proving out new components Working from complex engineering drawings and specifications Tooling selection, speeds, feeds and machining strategy Improving existing programs and reducing cycle times Troubleshooting machining and programming issues Supporting less experienced engineers within the machine shop Helping drive machining standards and continuous improvement Taking on increasing technical and leadership responsibility What We''re Looking For 5-axis machining experience is essential for this position.
