CNC Machinist
Location: Commutable for Edinburgh, Livingston, Falkirk, Hamilton and Surrounding Areas
Shift Pattern: 3-Shift Rotation (Moving to Continental Shift Pattern after 3 months)
Salary: Circa -40,000 - -41,000 during the initial training period, rising to -46,000 - -48,000 per annum after transitioning to continental shifts.

We''re recruiting experienced CNC Machinists on behalf of our client, a globally recognised manufacturing business based in Livingston. During your first three months, you''ll complete your training and induction on a Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern. Once fully trained, you''ll move onto a 4 on, 4 off continental shift pattern, with your salary increasing to circa -46,000 - -48,000 per annum.
Initial Training 3- Shift Pattern (First 3 Months)
Following successful completion of your training period, you''ll transition onto a 4 on, 4 off continental shift pattern, offering an increased salary of circa -46,000 - -48,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC milling and/or turning machines.
- Loading CNC programs and making tooling offsets.
- Manufacturing precision-engineered components to technical drawings and specifications.
- Carrying out quality inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Working to strict quality, safety and compliance standards.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the machining department.
Candidate Requirements
- Time-served CNC Machinist or HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering.
- At least 2 years'' experience within a CNC machining environment.
- Experience setting and operating CNC machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality components.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts before moving onto a continental shift pattern.
