The role involves programming, setting and operating an Asquith Butler Elgamill with Fanuc control, with offline programming available using Cimco CAD/CAM. You''ll be machining customer-supplied castings and fabrications, with components weighing up to 60 tonnes, so this is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in heavy engineering, large-component machining or complex one-off work. Responsibilities include:Programme, set and operate CNC milling machinery.Work primarily on one-off and bespoke components.Machine a wide range of materials, from aluminium through to Super Duplex.Work from engineering drawings and determine the most effective machining approach.Use offline programming where required.Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and safe working.
