CNC Machinist (Milling - 3 Month Contract) Location: Sheffield
Rate: £20.00 to £21.00 per hour (DOE) + overtime
Contract: 3-month fixed term
Start: Immediate (interviews available now)

Up to £21 per hour, immediate start, and a contract where you can get straight into the work.

If you are a CNC Machinist looking for a short-term role where the focus is on machining and output, this is worth a look. The work is already running, and you will be supporting production within an established setup.

You will be machining precision components in an aerospace-focused environment where accuracy and consistency are key. The expectation is simple. Read the drawing, set it correctly, and produce parts to standard.

What the role looks like day to day:
You will be working on CNC milling machines producing components to tight tolerances, including some specialist materials.

You will manage your own work, carry out inspection, and keep things running throughout your shift.

What you will be doing:

• Operating CNC milling machines
• Setting and running jobs
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Machining components to tight tolerances
• Inspecting parts using Verniers, micrometres and gauges
• Making adjustments to maintain output
• Supporting production during a busy period
• Following quality standards including AS9100 and NADCAP

• Proven CNC machining experience
• Strong milling background
• Able to read drawings and work independently
• Confident with manual inspection equipment
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Background in precision engineering, aerospace desirable

You need to be someone who can get up to speed quickly and work without close supervision.
