CNC Machinist

My busy international clients are currently seeking a highly experienced and trained CNC Milling and Turning Machinist for their large modern facility in Nottinghamshire.

Essential Requirement:

• Time-served Apprenticeship Trained with proof of qualification / certification.

Ideal candidates competencies:

• Proficient in operating BOTH Milling & Turning Machines
• A good working knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens operating systems
• Experience, vocational training & apprentice trained.
• Minimum 5 years experience
• Aerospace experience desirable, however Automotive/Manufacturing/Tool Making advantageous
• Experience of Multi Manning Equipment preferred
• Ability to operate and maintain a clean work environment

Hours of work:

The machining area operates Monday to Friday on a 3 shift pattern:

• Mornings (06:00 - 14:12)
• Afters (13:48 - 21:30 with a Friday 19:00 finish)
• Nights (21:00 - 06:15, 4 shifts Mo-Th)

All operators are expected to conduct basic first principle measurement, maintain the cell 5s standard, maintain collaboration of gauges and equipment and to manage the efficient allocation of consumables and resources/materials in the cell.

Contract to cover 38 hours per week, initial 6-month contract.
