Cnc Machinist

Fortress Recruit are working with a leading defence manufacturing organisation to recruit experienced Mazak CNC Machinists for their growing operations. These are permanent opportunities available across both day and late shifts, offering the chance to work on high-precision components within a regulated environment. Key responsibilities include: Setting, operating and programming Mazak CNC machines (Mazatrol controls) Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings Conducting in-process inspection using relevant measuring equipment Ensuring all work meets quality and compliance standards Maintaining a clean and safe working environment To be considered for this role you''ll have: Proven experience operating Mazak CNC machinery (or similar) Ability to work to tight tolerances in a precision engineering environment Experience within aerospace, defence, or similar highly regulated industries Understanding of Mazatrol programming - desirable Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Eligibility to gain SC clearance (5 years'' UK residency without visa or sponsorship requirement) These roles offer the chance to join a well-established and growing defence manufacturer, with modern facilities and long-term career prospects.
