CNC Machinist

A market leading company based in Bootle is seeking a skilled CNC Operator/Machinist to join their growing team on the afternoon shift (14.00 - 22.00 Monday - Friday).

Part of global group my client specialise in the manufacture and supply of award winning composite doors and fire doors for commercial and residential markets.- The company is going from strength to strength with exciting growth plans for their UK site.

As a result of this they are growing their CNC-team, and are seeking an addition- Machinist to join their growing team.

Your role will involve:

• CNC Machining on 5 Axis Machines
• Using other machines such as beam saws and edge banders
• Quality Assurance / Control
• Maintaining work areas to ensure safe and productive environment.
• Willingness to participate and promote better working practises and improvements.
• Focusing on producing a quality product, in line with the production planning schedule whilst ensuring targets are met

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• CNC Machining Experience (or extensive experience with other machines such as beam saws as CNC operation can be trained)
• Wood, Timber, Furniture manufacture, Composite panels, or Injection Moulding experience would be ideal
• Programming knowledge would be beneficial
• Enthusiasm to help improve production processes
• Good communication skills

This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday, but will eventually be allocated to an afternoon shift of 14.00 - 22.00 once training is complete. You will be offered a good salary and package as well as the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company!
