Adept Resourcing are proud to be working with a long-established precision engineering company based in the heart of Sheffield. We are currently looking to recruit a Skilled CNC Machinist/Operator to join their growing team within the Machine Shop department.
This is a highly skilled role offering long-term career security and excellent working conditions in a clean, well-equipped workshop. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality machined components for demanding environments where precision, quality, and reliability are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
Programming, setting, and operating multi-axis and/or twin spindle CNC machines.
Producing high-quality parts to tight tolerances in a timely and efficient manner.
Working from engineering drawings and using precision measuring instruments to verify accuracy.
Planning and prioritising workloads with minimal supervision.
Maintaining a strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.
Key Requirements:
Time-served CNC Machinist with strong experience in programming, setting, and operating CNC machines.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls
Confident in reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
Experience working to tight tolerances across a range of materials.
Background in subcontract machining or aerospace (desirable).
Knowledge or interest in lean manufacturing and value engineering is a plus.
Hours:
Monday to Friday - 37 hours per week
Early finish on Friday
Salary:
-17.50 - -20.50 per hour, dependent on experience
