Connect Appointments is recruiting a CNC Machinist to join an established engineering business based in Halifax. Our client operates a busy precision engineering facility with a strong focus on quality and close-tolerance machining.What''s on offer?Full-time permanent position - 38 hours per weekMonday to Thursday, 7am to 3:30pm (with an early Friday finish)Paid at 16 per hourAs a CNC Machinist, your duties will include:Setting and operating CNC vertical milling machines safely and efficientlyLoading fixtures, vices and workholding equipment accuratelyUploading and verifying CNC programs and performing tool offsets and minor adjustmentsReading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructionsCarrying out in-process inspection using micrometers, verniers and gaugesThe ideal CNC Machinist will have:A minimum of 4 years'' experience in a CNC milling setter/operator roleA strong understanding of CNC machining principles and toolingThe ability to interpret engineering drawings confidentlyCompetence in the use of precision measuring instrumentsA collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamInterested?
