This role is not just about pushing a button. You''ll need to be confident reading and understanding engineering drawings, working out the material required, setting up the machine and programming and operating it to produce the finished component. You''ll be working with bespoke machinery and low-volume production, so you''ll need to be confident working independently, solving problems and making decisions throughout the machining process. Job Role:Setting, programming and operating CNC milling machines or CNC lathesMachining components to engineering drawings and specificationsWorking to close tolerances and high-quality standardsUsing measuring equipment including micrometres and Vernier calipersManufacturing and modifying tooling, jigs and fixtures where requiredMaking adjustments to machine settings to ensure components meet specification Ideal Candidate:Minimum 5 years'' experience within an engineering/manufacturing environmentProven experience setting and operating CNC milling machinesExperience programming CNC machines would be desirableExperience with CNC vertical mills and/or CNC lathesExperience with any of Hurco, Fanuc, Mazatrol ..... full job details .....
