Job Role: CNC Machine Operator
Location: Musselburgh
Start: ASAP
Contract Type: Permanent
Pay Rate: £14-£17 per hour DOE plus shift allowances
Hours: 37 hour week
Week 1- Day Shift (06:00-14:00 Monday to Thursday & 06:00-11:00 Friday)
Week 2- Back Shift (14:00-22:00 Monday to Thursday  & 11:00-16:00 Friday)


Key Responsibilities:

• Safely set up and operate CNC lathes to produce high-quality components.
• Work accurately to close tolerances on a variety of aerospace-grade materials, following customer drawings and specifications.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

Key Skills:

• Be able to work on a two-shift rotation as required
• Experience and a strong aptitude for mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and tooling setup.
• Candidates must have excellent communication skills, the ability to take initiative, and a strong drive to succeed.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
