Machine Operator Location: Birmingham Salary: 13.00 per hour depending on experience Job Type: Permanent Hours of Work: 07:30 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 13:30 Friday is currently working with a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Birmingham, recruiting for a Machine Operator on a permanent basis. Job Description: Working in a busy manufacturing environment producing precision brass turned components, you will be responsible for operating Wickman multi-spindle machines to manufacture high-volume turned parts. The role requires maintaining high quality standards by following control plans and carrying out regular measurements and inspections using gauges and measuring equipment. Training will be provided where required. Key Responsibilities: Operate Wickman multi-spindle machines to produce components to drawing specifications. Carry out regular checks on parts to ensure dimensions remain within tolerance. Record inspection results on process control sheets. Enter production information onto route cards. Maintain machines by cleaning them out and keeping the work area clean and tidy. Transfer finished components to the cleaning plant. Ensure all work is carried out in line with company quality procedures. Requirements: Previous experience operating production machines (experience with Wickman multi-spindles desirable but not essential). Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
