The role is primarily responsible for setting, proving out and optimising CNC lathes to ensure the safe, accurate and efficient manufacture of precision-engineered components. The position focuses on machine setup, tooling changes, offset adjustments, process control and maintaining production efficiency, while supporting operators during production runs. Key Responsibilities Prepare CNC machines for manufacture in line with engineering drawings, route cards and production requirements, including checking oils and coolant. Set tooling and work-holding equipment, including chucks, collets and fixtures. Prove out CNC programmes and make authorised adjustments. Adjust machine offsets to achieve the required first-off component following inspection. Support CNC operators during production runs where required. Safely and efficiently operate CNC lathes to maintain production output when required. ... Permanent
