CNC Lathe Programmer

We are currently looking to recruit a CNC Lathe Programmer, to join our client based in Batley (WF17). Working Hours Monday - Thursday (08:00am - 16:30pm) Friday (08:00am - 15:00pm) Pay Rate: Start rate 17ph, can be negotiated based on expereince. Key Responsibilities Programming CNC lathes from engineering drawings. Setting and operating CNC turning machines. Editing and optimising existing programs to improve efficiency. Selecting tooling, fixtures and cutting parameters. Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances. Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections. Using micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and other measuring equipment. Troubleshooting machining and tooling issues. Candidate Requirements Previous experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer. Ability to program, set and operate CNC lathes independently. Strong understanding of Fanuc controls (other control systems also considered). Experience working from detailed engineering drawings. Ability to manufacture components to tight tolerances. Strong inspection and quality control skills. Experience within precision engineering or subcontract machining environments.
