We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a busy manufacturing environment on a various shift working patterns available. either Monday - Thursday- 21:45-07:00 or Weekends only 3 days a week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday or Day shifts 6:00-15:00, Tue - 7:00-15:00, Wed - 7:00-15:00 , Thurs - 7:00-15:00 , Fri - 7:00-13:00, you may choose one shift pattern. The role involves setting and operating CNC machines, producing components to drawing specification, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.Key ResponsibilitieSet and operate CNC milling and/or turning machinesWork to engineering drawings and job specificationsEnsure parts are produced to required quality standardsComplete work within set cycle times and production targetsMaintain a safe, clean and organised working area (5S standards)Follow all Health and Safety procedures at all timesSupport continuous improvement activities where requiredBe flexible and support other areas of production when neededAssist with training and support of other team members when requiredEssential Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience in a CNC machining or engineering environmentExperience setting and operating CNC machines (Mazak/Heidenhain experience preferred)Ability to read engineering drawingsUnderstanding of CNC programming (ISO / G-code and/or Mazatrol)Good knowledge of milling and turning processesStrong problem-solving skillsAwareness of Health and Safety in a manufacturing ..... full job details .....
