Our client are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Grinder to join their precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC grinding machinery to produce complex, ultra-tight tolerance components. Your work will ensure that our advanced materials meet exacting engineering specifications for high-performance industries. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation and Setup: Set up, program (using G-code or conversational software), and operate CNC grinding machines (surface, cylindrical, and/or tool and cutter grinders) to machine advanced materials. Precision Measurement: Utilize high-precision inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and optical comparators to verify dimensions and maintain tight tolerances (often within microns). Quality Control: Monitor machining processes, adjust offsets, and inspect finished parts for surface finish quality, geometric accuracy, and defect prevention. Tooling Maintenance: Select, dress, and maintain grinding wheels and tooling, ensuring optimal performance and minimal wear. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GDandT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications. Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot machining issues, optimize cycle times, and collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to improve production workflows.
