CMM Quality Inspector

The Role As a CMM Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision machined components, ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with components and inspection equipment rather than purely documentation-based quality activities. Responsibilities Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision machined components. Operate and programme CMM equipment. Inspect components using a range of conventional and optical measuring equipment. Interpret engineering drawings, geometric tolerances (GDandT) and customer specifications. Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and inspection documentation. Identify non-conformances and work with Production to resolve quality issues. Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure inspection records are completed accurately and maintained in line with company procedures.
