CMM Inspector / Operator

6 month contract

-19.50/hour (Umbrella Co rate)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage measurement and inspection requirements across operations, including moulding validations, in-process inspections and non-conformance investigations.
• Set and load-a CMM, arrange suitable fixturing and carry out Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
• Make sure the CMM is running as intended, monitoring it to ensure it runs smoothly.
• Analyse measurement data, investigate issues and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality and Verification Services to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Skills and Experience

• Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow strict SOP''s and tasks is essential.
• Previous experience in a machine loading / operating or inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be beneficial.
• Proven experience with CMMs - loading them before other engineers operate them
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and measurement data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
