Job Title: CMM Operator

Location: Lincoln

Contract: 6-month rolling contract (potential to go permanent)

Working Pattern: 5 days on-site, rotating shifts (6:00am-2:15pm / 2:00pm-10:15pm) -Flexibility required

Pay Rate: -16.77 per hour + Overtime rates & Night Shift allowance

Responsibilities:

As an CMM Operator, you will:

  • Operate and programme Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure precise measurements
  • Conduct inspections of parts and assemblies to guarantee compliance with specifications
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve measurement discrepancies
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection results and contribute to continuous improvement processes
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards in all operations

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Proven experience as a CMM Operator in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in programming and operating CMM machines
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Familiarity with various CMM software packages
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance role
  • Certification in Quality Control or similar field

Technologies:

  • CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)
  • CAD software experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and instruments
