CMM Inspector - The Role

• Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections
• Operating CMM equipment to inspect precision-engineered components
• Programming and editing CMM inspection routines where required
• Using inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges and height gauges
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T requirements
• Completing inspection reports and quality documentation
• Working closely with production teams to resolve quality issues

CMM Inspector - What We''re Looking For

• Previous experience as a CMM Inspector / Quality Inspector within precision engineering
• Experience using CMM machines and inspection software
• Knowledge of Mitutoyo, Aberlink, Renishaw or PC-DMIS systems is advantageous
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection
