Cloud Engineering Manager

I’m working with one of our Financials domain client based in London, and they’re looking for a Cloud Engineering Manager to join their Engineering team responsible for the core infrastructure that powers their cloud-native investment platform.

This role requires a highly skilled hands-on professional and strong leadership experience who is passionate about technology and finance. You will be responsible for shaping and delivering the roadmap.

OverviewThe Cloud Engineering Manager will lead the team responsible for core infrastructure powering the cloud-native investment platform. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership to drive platform delivery and strategic roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Be a strong leader with experience building and running cloud platforms and leading teams that sit at the intersection of infrastructure and product.

Demonstrate great expertise in AWS best practices, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and monitoring (Datadog).

Apply programming experience in languages such as Python, Golang, Typescript, Node.js, or similar to support platform needs.

Qualifications

Experience leading cloud engineering teams and delivering cloud-native infrastructure.

Proficiency in AWS, Terraform or other IaC tools, and monitoring/observability tooling (e.g., Datadog).

Hands-on technical capability across one or more programming languages relevant to the role.
