This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale Google Cloud transformations, helping clients design, build and optimise modern cloud platforms, data environments and AI-driven solutions.

The Opportunity

As a Cloud Engineer, you''ll work closely with Architects and delivery teams to implement production-grade solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You''ll be involved in a variety of projects spanning cloud infrastructure, data engineering, platform modernisation and AI technologies.

This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys building cloud-native solutions, automating deployments and working directly with customers to solve complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and manage Google Cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Design and support containerised environments using Kubernetes (GKE), Docker and Cloud Run.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, scalable deployments.
• Deliver cloud migration and modernisation projects for enterprise clients.
• Build and support data platforms using services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub and Composer.
• Contribute to AI and machine learning solutions using Vertex AI and associated Google Cloud services.
• Work closely with clients, architects and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Apply cloud security, governance and networking best practices across all solutions.

Key Experience Required

• 3+ years'' experience in a Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering or DevOps role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Kubernetes/GKE, Docker and containerised workloads.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling and deployment automation.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security and governance.
• Experience building data platforms and pipelines within GCP.
• Exposure to AI/ML services such as Vertex AI or similar cloud-based AI platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, Go or Shell scripting.
• Previous consultancy, professional services or client-facing project experience would be highly advantageous.
• Google Cloud certifications are desirable.
