Cloud Architect - Glasgow, Scotland

Position: Senior Cloud Architect
Location: Glasgow, Scotland (Hybrid: 2 days per week on-site)
Duration: 6-Month Initial Contract (Potential for extension or permanent absorption)

Role Overview:
A senior platform architect is needed to lead the design and execution of global cloud platform projects within the energy and utilities sector. The role requires strong expertise in automated infrastructure provisioning, enterprise telemetry, and scalable cloud framework design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) specifications for global cloud platforms.
• Write, test, and deploy modular Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Architect multi-region cloud landing zones, account structures, and core network transit routes.
• Integrate enterprise monitoring and telemetry frameworks to ensure platform health and performance.
• Align architectural patterns with industry regulatory standards and zero-trust security principles.
  
  

Technical Requirements:

• Proven track record architecting multi-region enterprise cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
• Advanced proficiency in Terraform and automated deployment pipelines.
• Hands-on experience configuring enterprise observability and monitoring solutions.
• Strong communication skills, with Spanish language proficiency preferred to support global delivery teams.
