Overview
Clinical Trials Specialist Pharmacist role at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). The postholder will lead a sub team of pharmacists to provide a high-quality clinical trial service, enabling access to new treatments via study protocols. They will be part of the senior pharmacy research team and support the Principal Pharmacist RandD.Responsibilities
Lead on risk reviews for the UCLH Joint Research Office (AAC) and collaborate with senior technical staff to set up new trials.Lead on collating and establishing trends in dispensing errors/deviations using the Trust’s digital database (Datix).Review and implement new or amended SOPs; lead audit processes from external regulators and sponsors.Provide senior support to clinical trial coordinators, nursing and clinic/day unit staff, and representatives from the pharmaceutical industry to ensure smooth operation of trials requiring pharmaceutical services.Line manage pharmacists who rotate through clinical trials.Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must be GPhC-registered pharmacists.At least 3 years’ experience in an NHS hospital healthcare setting.Prior experience of clinical trials is desirable.About UCLH and Benefits
