Clinical Pharmacist, Reading

OverviewA great opportunity has arisen with a very forward-thinking GP Surgery in Reading, looking for a full-time practice-based Clinical Pharmacist to join their established Pharmacy team. The role includes usual Clinical Pharmacist duties with the opportunity to focus on a specific area of interest. The practice has a strong reputation, high patient satisfaction, and a supportive MDT.

Responsibilities

Responsible for usual Clinical Pharmacist duties (SMRs, polypharmacy management, discharge letters, medicines reconciliation, etc.)

Prescribing as a minimum requirement; opportunity to work as a full independent prescriber (ideally CPPE pathway)

Work alongside a strong multidisciplinary team and other pharmacists

Support the development of clinical practice and areas of interest within primary care

Use of EMIS Web computer system

No home visits; one fixed evening of extended hours per week (you choose the day)

Requirements / Qualifications

Prescriber with primary care experience

Strong background in primary care and independent prescribing (CPPE pathway preferred)

Salary and Benefits

Salary up to £56,000 FTE depending on experience (approx. £28.71 per hour)

NHS pension

6 weeks annual leave + bank holidays

1 week study leave
