Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Peripatetic Manager to provide strong clinical and operational leadership across a portfolio of care homes. This role is ideal for a highly motivated leader who thrives in varied environments, can adapt quickly, and ensures the highest standards of care, compliance, and staff performance are maintained.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting Home Managers, stepping into homes when leadership cover is required, driving quality improvement, and ensuring CQC compliance across all services.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership, management, and clinical oversight across multiple care homes, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care.
• Step in as acting Home Manager when required, maintaining smooth operational performance and team stability.
• Monitor and improve clinical governance, safeguarding, infection control, and medication management processes.
• Support and mentor Home Managers, Nurses, and Care Teams in best practice and professional development.
• Drive compliance with CQC standards, local authority requirements, and company policies.
• Deliver quality improvement initiatives, audits, and action plans to maintain excellent standards of care.
• Assist with recruitment, induction, and training of staff to strengthen workforce resilience.
• Act as a key point of contact for residents, families, external professionals, and regulatory bodies.
• Report regularly to the Regional/Operations Manager on home performance, challenges, and progress.

Skills & Experience Required
• Proven track record as a Registered Home Manager, Peripatetic Manager, or Senior Clinical Lead within residential, nursing, or dementia care settings.
• Current NMC registration (RGN/RMN/RNLD) desirable but not always essential if equivalent leadership experience is demonstrated.
• In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and clinical best practice.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate teams across multiple homes.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities; able to adapt quickly in fast-changing situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
• Experience in turnaround situations, quality improvement, and achieving/maintaining “Good” or “Outstanding” CQC ratings.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel between care homes.
