Clinical Nurse Specialist - Infection Prevention and Control

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Infection Prevention and Control Nurse who is qualified or near completion of qualification in IPC, to join our small, friendly, fully digital, data driven IPC team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist IPC. This role has become available due to the previous post holder progressing to a new opportunity. We are looking for a dedicated nurse with existing IPC experience, who can work cross site and with our community based services also with the ability to travel.Responsibilities

Infection surveillance, audits, and quality improvement (QI) projects using the Trust''s PDSA approach to changeSupport governance functions within IPCSBuild effective relationships with medical staff, senior nurses, allied health professionals, and managers; deliver education and training across the siteDevelop leadership and management skills; be part of a broader IPC network across Kent and MedwayStrengthen IPC contribution to patients and service users across the TrustEnsure practice compliance with National Standards and policies via policies, protocols, guidelines; participate in patient safety incident framework and learningQualifications

Registered Nurse with IPC experience; qualification in IPC or nearing completionEnvironment and Travel

Based on site and in the IPC offices; travel to different sites and community services as needed.Additional information
