Clinical Lead Nurse
Job Purpose The Clinical Lead is responsible for providing professional clinical leadership, governance oversight, and quality assurance across healthcare services. The post holder will ensure that care is delivered safely, effectively, compassionately, and in accordance with regulatory requirements, clinical best practice, and organisational policies. The Clinical Lead acts as the subject matter expert for clinical matters, supporting staff, managing clinical incidents and complaints, overseeing safeguarding concerns, conducting investigations, and driving continuous quality improvement across the organisation. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high standards of care, reducing risk, and ensuring positive outcomes for service users. Key Responsibilities Clinical Governance and Leadership Provide visible clinical leadership across all services. Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement. Lead on clinical governance activities including audits, quality reviews, and service improvement initiatives. Support management teams in meeting regulatory and contractual requirements. Ensure compliance with CQC, Ofsted, HIQA, NMC, NMBI, RQIA, safeguarding, and relevant healthcare standards where applicable. Act as the organisation''s clinical expert for advice and guidance.
