Clinical Lead / GP with Special Interest in Addiction

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Lead / GP with a Special Interest in Addiction to join our dedicated team at the Southend-on-Sea Community Addictions Service. This is a full-time, community-based leadership role, ideal for a dynamic clinician with a passion for substance misuse services and a recovery-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

As Clinical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the quality of addiction treatment services across the Essex region.

You will work closely with the Southend-on-Sea Operations Manager and a skilled multi-disciplinary team, contributing to:

Clinical service development and improvement

Delivering high-quality, evidence-based addiction treatment

Supporting clients through their recovery journey

Providing clinical leadership and guidance

Running clinical sessions across the county

Participating in audits, quality assurance, and service performance monitoring

Candidate Requirements

On the Specialist Register of the Royal College of Psychiatrists with an endorsement in Substance Misuse

A Consultant Addiction Psychiatrist

A General Practitioner (GP) with a Special Interest in Addiction

A Specialist Addiction Doctor with a minimum of 7 years'' experience in the field

Other relevant experience in addiction medicine may also be considered
