Are you a qualified nurse with leadership experience in the care sector? We''re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager (Clinical) to help lead a high-quality nursing service, supporting residents to live with dignity, independence, and the highest standards of care.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Nurse looking to join a well-established care setting where clinical excellence and resident wellbeing are at the heart of everything.
The Role
Working closely with the Home Manager, you''ll provide strong clinical leadership across the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. You''ll play a vital role in maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting staff development, and driving continuous improvements throughout the home.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the home
- Providing leadership and guidance to nursing and care teams
- Overseeing clinical governance and quality standards
- Conducting audits and monitoring care outcomes
- Reviewing and updating care plans
- Managing medication processes and clinical documentation
- Carrying out assessments and risk evaluations
- Supporting admissions and transitions into the service
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
- Taking responsibility for the service in the absence of the Home Manager
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current NMC registration
- Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager or similar leadership position
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
- Experience leading and mentoring nursing and care teams
- A genuine passion for delivering person-centred care
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and referral pathways
