Climate Community Outreach Worker

Help communities make simple, practical changes for a greener, more affordable future. The Eco Centre is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Climate Community Outreach Worker to help people and communities across Bridgwater and the surrounding area take action on climate change, reduce waste and save money. You ll be out and about meeting local people, community groups and organisations, helping to organise workshops and demonstrations, and promoting our new E-Save app, which supports households to reduce carbon and waste while cutting costs. What you ll be doing Building positive relationships with local communities, groups and organisations Running outreach activities, workshops and demonstrations Helping people discover and use the E-Save app Sharing simple, practical ideas for sustainable living Recruiting and supporting volunteers Connecting with local environmental and sustainability projects Helping with promotional activities and social media Keeping simple, accurate records of your work Who we re looking for You don t need to have worked in this exact role before. We re looking for someone who is: Friendly, approachable and able to connect with people from different backgrounds Enthusiastic about climate change, sustainability and practical community action Organised, self-motivated and confident working independently A good communicator who can explain ideas simply and clearly Comfortable working with community groups and volunteers ..... full job details .....
