Client Manager - Practice Accountant

Our client, a long-established and highly regarded accountancy practice, is seeking a confident and relationship-focused Client Manager to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to manage your own portfolio, act as the primary point of contact for clients, and build trusted long-term relationships within a professional and collaborative environment.

As Client Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of clients, providing accounting and taxation support whilst ensuring an exceptional client experience.

You will have full ownership of your portfolio and be the key contact for clients, managing relationships from initial query through to delivery of accounts and tax services.

• Managing a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and personal tax clients
• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders and limited companies
• Preparing self-assessment tax returns
• Preparing partnership and corporation tax returns
• Advising clients on accounting and taxation matters
• Building strong client relationships and delivering a proactive, high-level service
• Working independently whilst managing deadlines across your portfolio
• Liaising directly with clients and professional advisers where required
• Supporting the continued growth and success of the practice

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification (or be qualified by experience at a senior level)
• 7+ years'' experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Strong general practice experience across accounts and taxation
• Experience managing your own client portfolio
• Excellent knowledge of sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts
• Strong personal and business tax knowledge
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
• A professional, commercial and client-focused approach

Experience with trusts would be advantageous but is not essential
