Location: Pitsford, Northamptonshire
Salary: -30,000 - -60,000 (doe) + quarterly, target based bonus

Are you an experienced Practice Accountant looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a well-established and growing, modern accountancy practice, is seeking a proactive Client Accountant to join their team and take ownership of a varied portfolio of SME clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, providing commercial advice, and delivering a high-quality accounting service within a collaborative and supportive environment.

As a Client Accountant, you''ll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, acting as their trusted advisor and ensuring all accounting, tax and compliance matters are handled efficiently and professionally.

• Managing a portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing and reviewing year-end statutory accounts.
• Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
• Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns completed by junior team members.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for client queries and financial advice.
• Conducting client meetings to discuss business performance and growth opportunities.
• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.

• Strong knowledge of statutory accounts preparation and management accounts.
• Experience managing your own portfolio of clients.
• Good understanding of corporation tax and VAT.
• Confident using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks.
• ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified/part-qualified would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build credibility with clients.
• Commercially aware with a proactive and client-focused approach.
