Clerk to Governing Body We are currently recruiting for a Clerk to Governing Body to start asap; on an on going Temp- Perm Basis £41,739-£43,014 - Our Client will look at P/T and F/T options. WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING FOR?Our client is an all Boys School with a mixed Sixth Form based in Central London. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?Pay scale S01 pt (£41,739pa - £43,014pa, full-time equivalent); the actual salary will be lower if the contract is part-time or term time only - Open to both F/T and P/T To provide the governing body with procedural advice in carrying out its statutory obligations, and administrative support in fulfilling its strategic functions. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? Work effectively with the chair and relevant school personnel before the governing body meeting to prepare a purposeful agenda which takes account of statutory obligations and DFE and LA issues and is focussed on school improvement. Produce, collate and distribute the agenda and papers so that recipients receive them six days before the meeting. Record the attendance of governors at the meeting and take appropriate action re absences. Advise the governing body on governance legislation and procedural matters where necessary before, during and after the meeting. Take notes of the governing body meetings to prepare minutes, including indicating who is responsible for any agreed action Maintain a database of names, addresses and category of governing body members, and their term ofoffice Initiate an ..... full job details .....
