Clerk of Works Inspector / Repairs SurveyorLocation: Hastings, East SussexSalary: 47,500 + 1,800 car allowanceWe are recruiting for two experienced Clerk of Works Inspectors / Repairs Surveyors to cover a residential housing portfolio in Hastings.This role is ideal for someone with strong repairs surveying experience, excellent resident-facing skills and a background in contractor and contract management.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out pre- and post-inspections of residential repairs.Complete approximately 12 surveys per week across the housing stock.Identify defects, assess repair requirements and ensure works meet the required standards.Produce detailed inspection reports, including findings, photographs and recommendations.Liaise directly with residents, managing expectations and handling queries professionally.Monitor contractor performance, challenge poor workmanship and ensure remedial works are completed.Support effective contract management and maintain high standards of repairs and resident satisfaction.About YouExperience in repairs surveying, Clerk of Works or housing maintenance.Strong knowledge of residential repairs and pre- and post-inspections.Proven experience in contractor management and contract compliance.Excellent resident-facing and communication skills.Strong reporting, organisational and problem-solving abilities.If you have the technical surveying knowledge and customer-focused approach to ensure repairs are completed right first time, we''d love to ..... full job details .....
